Continuing its journey with the America’s Cup, Panerai has revealed its newest timepiece dedicated to the sailing competition’s 37th edition. The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa, which also goes by its reference, PAM01681, expands on Panerai’s maritime heritage and innovative spirit.
Outfitted in brushed AISI 316L stainless steel, the timepiece arrives in its signature 44mm case size. Echoing its sleek build, the dial arrives in a silver base with a radial sun-brushed finish that’s reminiscent of the boat’s reflective hull. This creates a visually harmonious synergy with the luminous hour markers and skeleton handset. Meanwhile, the rotating bezel adds a touch of bold contrast with a polished, black ceramic disc.
As the official sponsor of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, the timepiece is imbued with the team’s signature colors: black and red. This combination is directly implemented on the strap, which spotlights a bold red stripe that runs through the bottom strap’s center
A faithful iteration of the Submersible, the PAM01681 is geared with Panerai’s hallmarked crown-protecting device. Equipped with three days of power reserve, the timepiece runs on the automatic P.900 movement, complete with 300 meters of water resistance.
Over on its caseback, the reference spotlights a special engraving that depicts the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli boat. Currently available for inquiry through Panerai, the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa PAM01681 has a price tag of $12,100 USD (excluding tax).
