Geneva-based watch Maison, Biver was founded by father and son, Jean-Claude Biver and Pierre Biver back in 2023. Positioned as an entry-level haute horlogerie brand, Biver centers around exceptional time-telling offerings that utilize Jean-Claude’s decades of high-end watchmaking experience. For its second major unveiling, Biver introduces the Automatique, which also marks the brand’s first three-hand automatic model.

“A watch showing just the hours, minutes, and seconds is the most essential form of our art. Distilling complexity down to its purest, simplest incarnation can be its own kind of masterpiece, found in its absolute perfection and discipline,” explains co-founder Jean-Claude Biver, who adds  that “If you want to play the piano, you must first master scales and classical music before you can learn to play jazz.”

Four elegant, 39mm-sized dress watches are presented under two different series: Gold and Atelier. Highlighted in the Gold Series are platinum and rose gold editions, both fitted with hits namesake material as its build, complete with tonal dials and an 18k gold chemin de fer minute track.

Fitted with special stone dials, the Atelier Series showcases a duo of limited-edition references: Obsidian and Pietersite. The former boasts a distinctly gray appearance, with its obsidian dial treated in a special sanding process. While, the watch face for the Pietersite variant stars a deep blue hue infused with swirls of orange and white — creating a mesmerizing visual that resembles a blend of natural occurrences on Earth.

The assortment of watches all run on the automatic JCB-003 caliber, which provides around 65 hours of power reserve through its bi-directional micro-rotor crafted from 22k gold. Priced from 75,000 CHF – 121,000 CHF (around $88,975 – $143,546 USD), the new timepieces are available for inquiry through Biver’s official website.
