Peak Performance Brings Back its Color-Blocked Jackets Made From Leftover Fabric
The brand’s limited-edition ‘Helium Utility FLO’ collection is available now.
Scandinavian mountaineering brand Peak Performance is back with another drop from its sellout FLO programme or, ‘Fabric Leftovers’, an initiative it first introduced around this time last year.
The new, limited-edition ‘Helium Utility FLO’ capsule comprises four jackets that utilize surplus fabrics to create unique, color-blocked colorways. The jackets are down-filled with a 700 fill power that promises super warmth, using 90/10 RDS-certified down for an impressive warmth-to-weight ratio. Each jacket is coated in a PFC-free water-repellent spray which, whilst not waterproofing the garment, provides some level of wet weather protection. The jackets are also fully packable, making them ideal for storing in compact spaces.
The FLO programme has proven popular for Peak Performance and the brand has stated it plans to expand it into more ranges “in the near future.” However, it’s not the only thing helping the brand realize its sustainability and circulatory goals – its second-hand programme, WearAgains, was recently expanded into select stores and online in Europe.
The Helium Utility FLO capsule collection is available today at select Peak Performance stores as well as on the brand’s website, priced at at £320 GBP / $450 CAD.
