Rudy Guénaire Designs Serene Interior for Le Belvédère in Provence

Rudy Guénaire, creative director and cofounder of Paris New York (PNY), has evolved from a burger entrepreneur to a self-taught interior designer. His passion for design, which was ignited during a cross-country U.S. trek, led him to reimagine the American diner concept with a high-level architectural approach. Initially collaborating with established designers, Guénaire refined his skills through hands-on involvement in concept development and site visits. After launching eight restaurants, he decided to bring his own vision to life, taking full control of PNY’s new locations’ design.

Guénaire’s latest project, Le Belvédère, showcases his maturing style. Located near Crillon-Le-Brave in Provence, this 200-seat restaurant offers stunning views of Mont Ventoux. The design emphasizes the natural surroundings, featuring soft lines, sober materials and a series of arches that frame the landscape.

Evoking gentle, sunny modernism, Le Belvédère rusticity embodies the natural elements surrounding it.The hand-drawn curves and large bay windows create a soothing atmosphere, inviting guests to slow down and immerse themselves in Provence’s beauty. The interior continues this theme with matcha green seats, two-tone wood tables and chairs that blend wooden frames with rattan accents. This thoughtful combination of materials and colors echoes the natural environment, further connecting the space to its picturesque setting.
