The stage is almost set for the 2024 NBA Finals as the Boston Celtics just completed their sweep of the Indiana Pacers, and unless the Minnesota Timberwolves make history as the first NBA team to ever accomplish a reverse sweep in a seven game series, the Dallas Mavericks will be the final obstacle for the Celtics. Meanwhile, the competition between sneaker brands rages on as another week of exciting drops has been prepared by the likes of Jordan Brand, Crocs, ASICS, New Balance, Nike, Saucony and adidas. However, before going over what drops to mark on your calendar this time around, let’s review the key headlines from the sneaker space since we last presented Weekly Footwear Drops.

Looking first at the Swoosh, it finally had one of its bootleg sneaker legal cases conclude with Kool Kiy ordered to pay the brand $1 million USD due to trademark infringement involving its Air Jordan 1 and Dunk silhouettes. As for its upcoming releases, a first look at a modern Dunk Low Pro B sample surfaced with rumors pointing towards a return for the silhouette early next year. The brand also revealed its official imagery of its first breakdancing sneaker: the Nike Jam. Per usual, the Kobe line was a focal point with images of the upcoming Kobe 4 Protro “Girl Dad” release shared alongside a teaser of a “Job’s Not Finished” colorway. As for the Jordan Brand crew, a first look at this year’s Air Jordan 6 “Paris Olympics” appeared alongside a new rumor surrounding an Air Jordan 4 “Rare Air Laser” pair for 2025.

Elsewhere in the world of sneakers, an early look at MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon’s latest project saw the X-ALP surface in two colorways that are more calm than the duo’s previous work together. Rounding things out, New Balance had a busy week with a teaser of a 574 Legacy pair designed by Stone Island, another Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000 colorway teaser and a The Basement-approved 1906D.

With all of the past week’s top headlines reviewed, let’s go ahead and check out this week’s lineup of major releases, starting with the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Latte.” Once you finish scrolling through the list, don’t forget to hit up HBX to shop styles that are available now.

Why You Should Cop: What better way to start the day than by wearing a pair of Air Jordan 1s that match your morning drink? Jordan Brand is finally inviting us to indulge in this new “Latte” colorway of the high-top silhouette this week. Its leather upper begins with a white base while black contrast is delivered at the overlays and Swooshes and “Latte” brown enters the mix at the collar overlay, heel and the rubber outsole that rests beneath an off-white midsole. To top it all off, the sockliner sports a thematic design inspired by artisan milk patterns.

Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Juniper “Guava”

Arriving first in a “Guava” colorway, the new model builds atop a special sculpted sole unit in green that draws inspiration from Bembury’s fingerprint motif. As for the upper, a majority of its exterior appears in a peach hue while the bootie-like interior sports a taupe finish.

Studio Nicholson x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360 VIII

Release Date: May 30
Release Price: $280 USD

Why You Should Cop: ASICS’ Crafts for Mind initiative has invited artists and designers to present their unique takes on ASICS silhouettes while supporting local charities. For its latest project, ASICS has tapped UK-based brand Studio Nicholson to outfit the GEL-QUANTUM 360 VIII. The resulting design sees luxurious Italian leathers applied to the upper of the sneaker with an all-black colorway that matches the versatility of Studio Nicholson’s seasonal offerings. Limited to just 100 pairs globally, any interested buyers will have to act quick when its launch takes place later this week.

Air Jordan 17 Low “Lightning”

Release Date: May 30
Release Price: $300 USD

Why You Should Cop: It’s been 22 years since Michael Jordan brought out the Air Jordan 17 Low “Lightning” for his final NBA All-Star Game appearance. Now, it’s set to make its grand return in white, yellow and black with its own silver briefcase that sports Jumpman branding at its exterior — an element that was previously only included for its high-top counterpart.

Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R “Rosewater”

Release Date: May 31
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: New Balance
Why You Should Cop: “Women’s aerobics meets [Action Bronson].” Bronsolino’s latest project with New Balance, which has been teased since the end of last year, highlights the 1906R and begins with the release of his aerobics-inspired “Rosewater” pair that he dubbed “THE MOST POLARIZING SNEAKER OF 2024.” Its vividly-colored arrangement includes everything from magenta to orange and blue, ensuring that the pair will pop wherever it goes.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Light Orewood Brown”

Release Date: May 31
Release Price: $240 USD

Why You Should Cop: Production of Nike’s Air Foamposite One continues to expand as the sneaker has been spotted in several returning and new looks recently. Revealed two months ago, its new “Light Orewood Brown” rendition is ready to drop. Its signature shell element sports the creamy color while its eyestays, collar and tongue appear in black. As for the semi-translucent outsole, it sports a gum finish while golden branding elements have been sprinkled in to round things out.

Minted NY x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4

Release Date: May 31
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: Saucony
Why You Should Cop: Minted New York’s debut project with Saucony quickly left shelves earlier this month as fans of the two brands flocked to the New York-based brand’s store to purchase pairs of its ProGrid Triumph 4. Now, another shot at picking up the mesh-covered sneaker is coming. Equipped with off-white, silver and green detailing, the pair neatly fits into the sneaker scene’s trend of favoring runners and comes with co-branding at the lateral heel, tongue tag and sockliner.

KITH x ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Seoul”

Release Date: May 31
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: KITH
Why You Should Cop: Ronnie Fieg’s long-running partnership with ASICS is set to continue this week as he celebrates the opening of his newest KITH flagship storefront in Seoul. Equipped with an upper consisting of pigskin suede and hairy suede, a quilted texture adorns the off-white, black, blue and red upper, with the latter two hues serving as an homage to the flag of South Korea.

Release Date: June 1
Release Price: $100 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: Celebrated skater Tyshawn Jones is back with adidas Skateboarding to introduce the Tyshawn II — a sequel to his debut signature shoe from 2019. Presented in what Takizawa referred to as a “Cement Gray,” a monochromatic presentation of the OG sneaker sees white contrast delivered across its many NEIGHBORHOOD motifs — including everything from its skull and swords logo to the “NEIGHBORHOOD” hits, “Craft With Pride” text and more.
