Lil Wayne and Young Thug Link Up on "Bless"
With production by Wheezy.

After announcing “Bless” on socials earlier this week – with a handful of WWE WrestleMania promos – Lil Wayne has dropped off the major collaborative offering. Wayne linked up with Young Thug for the hard-hitting track, which is led by clean Wheezy production.

Wayne handles both of the verses with Thugger on the chorus.
“I’m sorry, I’m not sorry, I’m too gnarly for your sh*t, b*tch / I’ma make you go from calamari back to fish sticks / They put you in a whole new category when you this rich / I tried to tell that b*tch this, every time that b*tch b*tch,” he enters into the track – followed by a “Wheezy outta here” tag.
“Bless” not only marks a collision of two major hip-hop forces but potentially points to Thug and Wayne being in a more civil place amidst recent clashes. The duo’s beef goes back to the release rollouts of Wayne’s Tha Carter V‘s and Thug’s Carter 6 – which Thug entitled as such in homage to Wayne’s Carter series. In 2015, Birdman and Young Thug were named co-conspirators in a shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus; the incident later ended up in Young Thug and Young Stoner Life’s current RICO case.
The track is slated to appear on Wheezy’s forthcoming Weezy vs. Wheezy album.
