Snow Peak Unveils First GORE-TEX Collection
The GORE-TEX rain series consists of a rain jacket, rain pants and two styles of hats.
Snow Peak has started to dabble in GORE-TEX. While it’s hard to believe that this is the first GORE-TEX foray for the Japanese outdoor label, it’s clear that Snow Peak perfected its intentional offering of GORE-TEX garments before putting the Rain Series capsule out into the world.
Designed to “prioritize functionality” while allowing the wearer to “seamlessly transition between urban and natural environments,” the collection consists of a GORE-TEX rain jacket, rain pants, a rain hat and a rain cap.
Crafted from 100% recycled polyester, each piece from the GORE-TEX Series is waterproof and wind-resistant and comes complete with seam sealing and waterproof zippers.

The GORE-TEX Rain Jacket arrives in three colorways – green, black and tan – and runs for $500 USD. Equipped with a two-way adjustable hood, drawcord at the waist, hook and loop cuffs, the hooded jacket ensures maximal protection from the elements. The $375 USD Rain Pants land in the same three hues, and include an adjustable belt, two zippered side pockets, two angled zippered rear pockets and a knee-to-ankle zipper on each leg.
As for headwear, the wide-brimmed Rain Hat features an adjustable chin strap and integrated drawcord, and the Rain Cap takes a five-panel structure. Each hat arrives in the same colorways as the Jacket and Pants.
