Playboi Carti Drops Off "Ketamine"
His first release since January.
Playboi Carti has presented his third cut of the year. Following the form of his previous drops, Carti took to Instagram – though this time without the help of the screaming Blackhaine – to prep fans for the release of “Ketamine” a few hours beforehand.
Clocking in at just under two minutes long, “Ketamine” is a classic Carti offering and comes accompanied by a cinematic split-screen visual.
“You n***** don’t love me, your b**** wanna f*** me / My t-shirt on, so I won’t get ugly,” he steps onto the track.

He shared the below post a few hours before, simply captioned “930 @instagram.”

“Ketamine” comes as Carti continues his “CARNIVAL” chart reign; the Vultures cut, a collaborative effort from Ye, Ty Dolla $ign, Carti and Rich The Kid, marks the rapper’s first Billboard No. 1.
The heavy-hitter also arrives as another track presumably lifted from Cash Carti’s imminent, highly anticipated I AM MUSIC project. So far this year, he’s dropped off “EvilJ0rdan” and “BACKR00MS” with Travis Scott, which followed up “H00DBYAIR” and “2024” which closed out 2023.
Like the rest of his recent singles, “Ketamine” is an Instagram-exclusive – that has begun to make its way to YouTube – and is not available to stream on any major platforms at the moment. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for the latest on Carti’s new music.
