Playboi Carti Drops Off "H00DBYAIR" on Instagram
Coming less than a week after “2024.”
Playboi Carti is really closing out 2023 with a bang. After dropping off the forward-looking, Ye-produced “2024” on YouTube just last week, Carti has unveiled another track with just 10 days left in the year. Dubbed “H00DBYAIR” – a presumed homage to the New York-based Hood By Air streetwear label – Carti took to Instagram to drop his latest round of visuals for the new cut.

“You gotta get high like me / You gotta get high like this / You gotta get high like me / You gotta get high like this,” Carti croons on the chorus before going in on the building trap beat.
“All you ever do is copy, all you ever do is mock / Ꮃhy you talkin’ about me? / If you really got a problem, we can handle that problem, yeah, body to body,” the rapper delivers in the menacing first verse. Void of baby voice, “H00DBYAIR” finds Carti assertive and standing on business. As the song comes to a close, Carti seems to hint at another child in the outro – “I was twenty-four when Ⲓ had lil’ Onyx / (Ƭhen Ⲓ had a daughter, Ⲓ had a daughter too) / Twenty-seven when I had Eve.”
Carti teased the release with the below Instagram clip, a few days after promising fans – “KEEP STREAMING. I’LL DROP ANOTHER.”
