Nicholas Hoult Stars in The Rolling Stones' New "Mess It Up" Music Video
Off the British rock band’s new album, ‘Hackney Diamonds.’
The Rolling Stones have dropped off the official music video for their Hackney Diamonds track, “Mess It Up.” The visual, directed by Calmatic, stars Nicholas Hoult as a distraught lover who engages in a number of joyful escapades before returning to his partner to fix their relationship.
Hackney Diamonds arrived in October as the band’s first album of original material since 2005, when they put out A Bigger Bang. It was also the British rockers’ first record to release following the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.
Since its release, The Rolling Stones have performed with Lady Gaga, who appears on the album’s “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” and they’ve also announced a 2024 North American tour. The band is slated to hit the road on April 28, with an opening show in Houston, Texas. After that, they’ll stop at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, as well as at a number of venues in Arizona, Las Vegas, Seattle, New Jersey, Orlando, Atlanta and Denver, among other cities.
Meanwhile, Hoult has a full plate of his own: the actor was confirmed last month to play Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy.
