Sia Taps Kylie Minogue for Punchy Pop Track "Dance Alone"
Out on May 3, ‘Reasonable Woman’ marks Sia’s first LP in over seven years.
Sia has been rolling out her long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s This Is Acting. The singer first gave word of the Reasonable Woman LP back in 2020. Three years later, she returned in September 2023 with the first taste of the project in the form of the song “Gimme Love.”
That was over four months ago, so fans have naturally been wondering about the status of the album but it seems Sia is simply operating at her own pace. This week, she shared a new track called “Dance Alone” featuring Kylie Minogue.
True to its name, the single has a punchy dance beat, making it especially fitting that Australian pop legend Minogue is featured. Sia and Minogue also have a history of collaboration – Sia frequently writes for other artists and penned two songs on Minogue’s 2014 LP, Kiss Me Once.
“Dance Alone” boasts its own roster of accomplished collaborators. Jesse Shatkin contributed songwriting, production and instrumentals, alongside keyboardist and producer Jim-E Stack.
In addition to Minogue, Reasonable Woman’s eclectic ensemble of guest artists include Chaka Khan, Missy Elliott, Tierra Whack, Kaliii and Paris Hilton.
