A 'Metal Gear Solid' x Supreme Collaboration May Be Releasing
Just like the rest of us, Solid Snake loves a good box logo.
Metal Gear Solid and Supreme may be teaming up for their first-ever collaboration as part of Supreme’s forthcoming SS24 season. Reports from reputable Supreme leak accounts Drops By Jay and themacint0sh indicate that the long-running stealth video game franchise created by the legendary Hideo Kojima and Supreme were “in talks” and even began production on a set of collaborative apparel in recent months, but that the apparel may also be delayed until the FW24 season or canceled entirely.
Though official information’s yet to be revealed on the (potentially) forthcoming apparel drop, it wouldn’t be the first time Supreme has dipped its toes into the world of video games for inspiration. In September 2022, the brand joined forces with Yohji Yamamoto for a Tekken-inspired collection and even worked with Arcade1UP and Mortal Kombat to create a custom Mortal Kombat 1 arcade machine with Supreme graphics in 2020.
This Metal Gear Solid news is the second Supreme SS24 collaborative rumor to surface in recent weeks, after news of a potential Futura collaboration made the rounds earlier in February. Both pieces of news have yet to be confirmed, but with the release of Supreme SS24 drawing closer by the day there’ll likely be more info sooner rather than later.
