Last week, Florence and the Machine released her contribution to The New Look soundtrack, a cover of “White Cliffs of Dover.” For the latest song, The 1975 has arrived with its own spin on “Now Is the Hour.”

Produced by Jack Antonoff, The New Look soundtrack hears contemporary artists cover songs true to the post-World War II era in which the drama takes place. The show itself is an Apple TV production, centering on competition between Christian Dior and Coco Chanel as they angle to dominate Paris’ fashion industry in the aftermath of the war.

A Māori song, “Now Is the Hour” was written by Clement Scott, Dorothy Stewart, and Maewa Kahihau. It was originally recorded by New Zealand singer Ana Hato in the 1920s but the best-known rendition came courtesy of Bing Crosby in 1947.

“Now is the hour / When we must say goodbye / Soon you’ll be waiting / Far across the sea,” Matty Healy sings.

Alongside Florence and the Machine and The 1975, Lana Del Rey, Perfume Genius, Nick Cave and Beabadoobee all contributed to covers on the soundtrack.
