At this point, Nicki Minaj’s 2014 album The Pinkprint is nearly a decade old with hits such as “Anaconda” leading it to going double platinum. One part of Minaj’s triumphant 2014 that has prompted much curiosity from sneakerheads over the years is her partnership with Jordan Brand. While she never released a collaboration with the brand, she sported various Js throughout this era, including two PEs designed specifically for her.
Earlier this year, English Sole offered a look at Minaj’s Air Jordan 6 Low “The Pinkprint.” Now, the rare sneaker connoisseurs are back with a breakdown of her Air Jordan 1 PE of the same theme. Kicking things off, tumbled leather has been prepared with a metallic silver finish throughout the upper. Her signature blue-to-pink gradient joins in at the translucent sole unit, leather Swooshes on each side and the shoe’s lining. From there, electric pink accents appear at the collar’s Wings logo and heel’s “The Pinkprint” detail.
As is the case with Minaj’s Air Jordan 6 Low “The Pinkprint” PE, this pair is for the star’s friends and family and the industry’s most dedicated collectors, making it extremely difficult to ever see in-person, let alone obtain.
