Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem Drop Surprise Single and Music Video “The Hillbillies”
Tyler the Creator makes a cameo appearance in the visual.
Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem have teamed up in the past for hard-hitting songs “family ties” and “range brothers” off of Keem’s 2021 debut LP The Melodic Blue. The following year, Keem also made an appearance on a cut from Lamar’s Mr. Morale album, “Savior.”
The cousins and frequent collaborators have now surprised fans with the release of a new track called “The Hillbillies,” produced by Evilgiane, who is best known for her work as Surf Gang’s main producer. The single arrived alongside a home video-style music video directed by Neal Farmer and Lamar’s own pgLang.
The visual sees Lamar and Keem turn up around the world, from a shopping mall to one of the floating pods of the London Eye.
In one clip, Tyler the Creator makes a cameo appearance wearing a Camp Flog Gnaw button, teasing at the return of the festival after it wasn’t held from 2020 to 2022, as well as the potential that Lamar and Keem may headline.
