Now that Memorial Day weekend is behind us, all of your favorite sportswear brands are cranking up the heat and preparing a new slew of footwear releases for the first official month of summer 2023. This week’s action is going to see a fresh assemblage of launches from the likes of Nike, Jordan Brand, Salomon and more, but before we break these down let’s first take you through some of the bigger sneaker stories that popped up last week.

Let’s talk exclusives first, shall we? Our Sole Mates series added another feature to its arsenal last week which highlighted Prime Time Jakarta’s Adhika Saroso and his affinity for the Nike Air Force 1 1983 model. We also had the opportunity to catch up with the norda team to discuss its 002 silhouette. On the news front, a ton of exciting iterations from the Swoosh were unveiled. A-COLD-WALL*’s Nike Air Max Plus capsule was uncovered along with Stüssy’s Nike Vandal in “Royal Blue” and the Nike ISPA Universal in all-gray. Jordan Brand also chimed in and revealed its Air Jordan 5 Low “Dongdan,” conducted a restock of its Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 collaboration and flexed its Howard “H” White-inspired Air Jordan 2 “Wings” colorway.

The rekindled partnership between and Ye and adidas had a fleet of YEEZY colorways to announce last week such as the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Granite,” adidas YEEZY Foam Runner “Ochre,” adidas YEEZY 450 “Stone Teal” and more. Bad Bunny’s adidas Forum Buckle Low “Cangrejeros” and the latest Fucking Awesome x adidas Samba were also unveiled. Other enthralling footwear products that emerged last week include sacai’s Clarks Wallabee capsule, Saucony’s footwear collection that was made from mushrooms and Stray Rats’ New Balance 574 collaboration.

All caught up? Perfect. Scroll on down to check out this week’s best sneaker drops, and be sure to browse through the HBX online store for even more new footwear styles.

KENZO-DOME

Release Date: May 30
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: Kenzo
Why You Should Cop: The first series of sneakers designed by NIGO for the brand since his appointment as artistic director of the fashion house in September 2021 is finally dropping to the masses. The pairs draw inspiration from the mid-90s skateboarding era with a name that directly references the renowned skate spot, the DÔME, located on the grounds of the Palais de Tokyo building in Paris. Uppers arrive in various colorways made up of either suede or grained leather, with thicker Napa leather tongues that implement rubber KENZO banners and “K” logos displayed on the heels.

Nike ISPA Mindbody “Light Cream”

Release Date: May 30
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Technical and functional sneakers continue to surge in popularity, and so Nike is aiming to supply you with more iterations that align with this movement. The ISPA Mindbody is one of the Beaverton imprint’s latest offerings within this realm, and it’s slated to arrive in a fresh “Light Cream” colorway. Toggled lacing system makes it easier to adjust its fit while the Flyknit upper provides a breathable base and the pillowy foam sole units give those that set foot into them a plush ride.

adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Carbon Beluga”

Release Date: May 31
Release Price: $230 USD
Where to Buy: adidas
Why You Should Cop: Ye and adidas have been given the green light to release their remaining YEEZY stock, and one of the first colorways to get dropped off is the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Carbon Beluga.” For those that want the general feel of the silhouette’s iconic “Beluga” colorway but prefer a more earthy arrangement, this iteration is perfect as its PrimeKnit uppers are injected with muted brown and gray hues.

Lanvin x Suicoke Collection

Release Date: May 31
Release Price: $350-$470 USD
Where to Buy: Lanvin
Why You Should Cop: If you’re in the market for new sandals to add to your rotation this season then you might want to get your wallets ready for Lanvin’s second collaboration with Suicoke. The duo has cooked two MOK CURB colorways and two WAKE CURB iterations. Each silhouette has been reimagined in a regal “Gold/Light Beige” palette as well as a “Black” motif, all of which are been treated with Greece-braided multicolored chevron herringbone straps and embossed logos.

Air Jordan 37 Low “EYBL”

Release Date: June 1
Release Price: $195 USD
Where to Buy: Nike
Why You Should Cop: High school hoops prospects will be bringing their A-game in this year’s summer EYBL circuit, and so to celebrate, Jordan Brand is ushering in its latest Air Jordan 37 Low “EYBL” installment. The pair nods to the league’s annual Peach Jam tournament by portraying a “fresh squeezed” theme via its juice-colored uppers and mint-inspired accents. Tongues split their branding between Jordan logos on the right shoe and the official EYBL seal on the left.

Nike Air Max 1 CO.JP “Midnight Navy/Varsity Maize”

Release Date: June 1
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: Extra Butter
Why You Should Cop: The Swoosh is revisiting its iconic CO.JP series this week by ushering in a new Air Max 1 CO.JP “Midnight Navy/Varsity Maize” colorway for the ladies. It’s replete with captivating details such as its Michigan Wolverines-inspired color scheme, snakeskin-covered Swooshes, tumbled leather mudguards and tiny forefoot Nike checks.

JJJJound x Salomon XT-Wings 2

Release Date: June 1 (JJJJound), June 2 (New Balance)
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: JJJJound and New Balance
Why You Should Cop: JJJJound has worked with a plethora of footwear brands such as Vans, New Balance and ASICS, and now it’s finally adding a project with Salomon to its arsenal. Together, the duo has cooked up a summer-ready colorway of the XT-Wings 2. It’s bright in complexion as a majority of the kicks are done up in white while sporty blue accents are dispersed the throat banners, side panels and midsole units. Like many of its past collaborations, minimal JJJJound branding is used here and arrives on the medial heels. You can head over to GOAT to cop a pair on the secondary market if you took an L on release day.

Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem”

Release Date: June 1
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Teyana Taylor is the latest artist to receive her own Jordan Brand collaboration, and she elected to put her own twist on the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2. Leaning into its “A Rose From Harlem” motif, the kicks are fitted with whimsical details including the oversized leather Swooshes in black with exaggerated zig-zag stitching across it on the left sneaker while the right shoe favors embroidered Swooshes in red with rose prickle-inspired green embroidery. Special “TEY” and “A ROSE from Harlem” text hits appear on the insides of the collars for added flair.

Nike LeBron 20 “FAMU” Pack

Release Date: June 2
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: APB
Why You Should Cop:
Various colleges get the opportunity every year to put their spin on Nike’s signature basketball line, and this season Florida A&M University has cooked up two iterations of the LeBron 20. Nods to the Rattlers can be seen through the slithery snakeskin foreground Swooshes on each pair as well as the “A&M” banners that are pasted to the heels. This capsule serves as a follow-up to the school’s LeBron 7 collaboration from earlier this year.

Why You Should Cop: Need more slides for your Summer rotation? Mastermind and Suicoke have got you covered as they have just announced a brand new collection that’s centered around the MOTO-RUN. The “Beige” and “Black” colorways are both tonal and neutral, allowing wearers to pair them with a variety of outfits.
