Idris Elba Saves the Day In First Trailer for Apple TV+ 'Hijack' Series
Releasing on June 28.
Apple TV+ has dropped the first trailer for its forthcoming thriller series, Hijack. The seven-episode show will debut on June 28 with two episodes, while the remaining parts will release across the next five weeks until the finale on August 2, 2023.
Hijack follows Idris Elba as Sam Nelson, a businessman who attempts to negotiate the escape of a hijacked plane traveling to London. Over a seven-hour flight, Elba tries to save his fellow passengers while on-ground authorities solve the mystery above. Onboard, gunmen take the flight trajectory into their own hands, demanding that travelers give up their freedom while secretly working together to get home safely.
Idris Elba’s castmates include Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel, and Ben Miles.
The series directed by Jim Field Smith will be released exclusively via Apple TV+ on June 28.
