Apple TV has officially debuted the first trailer for its original film Way of the Warrior Kid, starring Chris Pratt. The project brings former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink’s 2017 bestselling novel to the screen ahead of a worldwide holiday debut.
Directed by McG (Terminator Salvation), the adaptation features Pratt alongside Linda Cardellini (Crystal Lake), Jude Hill (Belfast), and Willink himself. The narrative follows Marc (Hill), a well-intentioned middle schooler navigating severe bullying alongside difficulties in academics, athletics, and social circles. Marc’s routine shifts when his injured uncle Jake (Pratt), a decorated Navy SEAL, arrives to spend the summer recovering alongside Marc and his mother, Sarah (Cardellini).
In an effort to help his nephew regain confidence and defend himself, Jake constructs “Operation Warrior Kid,” an ambitious developmental initiative rooted in his military background. Moving past conventional fighting techniques, Jake guides Marc toward discipline and authentic resilience while quietly facing his own personal struggles throughout the summer.
Way of the Warrior Kid premieres globally on November 25 via Apple TV.
