Maison Schiaparelli has officially expanded its retail presence in Japan with the opening of its new Hankyu Osaka atelier boutique. Situated on the department store’s sixth floor, the space translates the Surrealist heritage and couture spirit of the Maison’s historic 21 Place Vendôme salon into an immersive domestic setting.
Developed in collaboration between Creative Director Daniel Roseberry and Swedish architecture firm Halleroed, the boutique is organized as an intimate, apartment-like destination. The interior reinterprets classic Parisian salons through an architectural palette of brushed stainless steel, high-gloss lacquered wood, custom sculptural furnishings, and expansive mirrored surfaces designed to animate the space through shifting perspectives and light.
Conceived through a domestic lens, the boutique unfolds as a sequence of dedicated thematic salons. A Boudoir is designated for ready-to-wear garments, while a separate Bag Room displays the label’s leather goods, supported by a private VIP salon for bespoke appointments. At the center of the floor plan rests an enclosed, fully mirrored jewel box chamber engineered to multiply reflections around Schiaparelli’s bold bijoux designs.
For its opening, the Osaka location hosts the Fall-Winter 2026 main collection and pre-collection alongside permanent Schiaparelli Iconics. Featured designs include signature silhouettes and accessories such as the Secret, Soufflé, and Face handbags, alongside anatomical jewelry and sculptural tailoring.
The Schiaparelli atelier boutique is open now on the sixth floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store in Osaka.
