Timberland and icebreaker have joined forces for the first time on a capsule collection designed “for the present, with the future in mind.” The former label, an American outerwear brand, and the latter imprint, a New Zealand-based, merino-wool clothing company, were bred on opposite sides of the globe — but together, they find common ground through a commitment to sustainable craftsmanship, in this collection.

Fusing icebreaker’s “Move to natural” ethos with Timberland’s outdoor legacy, the collaboration looks to connect urban and natural environments with versatile, city-to-mountain designs. Across the range, icebreaker’s signature merino wool provides a foundation for apparel, while durable textiles, including cotton and linen, speak to Timberland’s rugged codes.

Colorways, including Wheat Boot, Vibrant Earth, Sand, Chalk, and Onyx/Black, align with both labels’ quintessential tones, for both apparel and footwear. On the clothing front, the collection offers jackets, polos, tank tops, T-shirts and chino shorts, among other adventure-inspired silhouettes. Where the Merino Cotton Jacket enlists a cotton canvas blend for high-abrasion resistance, the Merino  ZoneKnit™ T-Shirt centers a brand-fusing mixture of lightweight merino wool and ventilating TENCEL™.

For footwear, Timberland and icebreaker debut the Trailquest Low Waterproof Sneakers, made with premium Leather and ReBOTL™ fabric, a textile made from at least 50% recycled plastic. Additionally, the silhouette includes a GreenStride® comfort sole, composed of 75% renewable bio-based EVA.

“At icebreaker, nature is our biggest inspiration. It influences everything we do, from the the fibres we grow to the functional pieces we design and create,” said Jelena Fursman, Global Design Manager at icebreaker, in a statement. “Collaborating with Timberland felt like a natural step – two brands united by a commitment to do better. This collection combines icebreaker’s natural fibres and soft geometry design lines with Timberland’s iconic heritage aesthetic – enabling us to create versatile, timeless, durable pieces for the outdoors and urban adventures.”

The Timberland x icebreaker collection is now available to shop on Timberland and icebreaker’s webstores, as well as in select retailers. Take a closer look at the range in the gallery above.
