UPDATE: Fear of God has released up-close images of some of its forthcoming sneaker collaborations with adidas from its debut runway show at the Hollywood Bowl in LA. Jerry Lorenzo and his team have teased what look like remixed Forum Hi’s that have been equipped with suede uppers, models with Three Stripes-shaped cages and low-slung lifestyle silhouettes, all of which are supported by flushed bottom pieces.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

In December 2020, Jerry Lorenzo announced that he would be parting ways with Nike and transferring Fear of God‘s collaborative sportswear efforts over to adidas to elevate the brand’s global creative and business strategies for its basketball category. Few initiatives and leaks of any official products have emerged since then, until last night when Lorenzo and his crew unearthed his inaugural joint pieces with the Three Stripes during his debut runway show at the Hollywood Bowl in LA. One item that caught the attention of many was the first Fear of God x adidas sneaker that we now have a first look at.

The kicks are supplied with a mid-cut silhouette and come equipped with what appear to be breathable, sock-like uppers along with side cages that are shaped to mimic the brand’s signature stripe branding and grayscale color-blocking. In front of the tongue, there is also a pull cord that you can tug on to tighten the fit around the ankles. Additionally, the sneakers are styled with luxe, pleated toe boxes and are rounded up with flushed sole units, the latter of which is a similar element that was found on Lorenzo’s Nike Air Fear of God 1.

Peep first look at the upcoming black/gray and white/gray colorways in the gallery above and sit tight for further word on their official launch date.

Elsewhere in sneakers, Pusha T debuted his forthcoming adidas Supernova Cushion 7 “Thorn” collaboration at Coachella.
