Taking to Milan Fashion Week, Onitsuka Tiger Creative Director Andrea Pompilio put on a display that showed the progression of the Japanese sports fashion brand started in 1949. Centered around the theme of “Urban Layering,” the Fall/Winter 2023 collection shown drew from the storied history of fashion in Japan. Loose silhouettes, fluid tailoring, and contemporary takes on traditional outfitting came down the runway in a showcase of the dynamic nature of Onitsuka Tiger.

The men’s and women’s wear offerings carefully arranged in layered looks created a colorful showing of silhouetting. Mixed between blacks and gray were brighter pops of beige, yellow, and orange that highlighted a collaboration with Zanter. The partnership with the Japanese manufacturer resulted in the development of down-padded jackets with enlarged hoods. Other standout outerwear included oversized faux fur coats and tailored offerings in melton wool paired with matching bottoms.

The voluminous jackets and coats were paired with terry sweaters, mohair turtlenecks, ribbed tank tops, chiffon shirts, and a selection of wide and fitted bottoms. Aside from the boots and chunky sneakers, accessories came in the form of a simple carrying option rendered in sleek black.
