De La Soul has announced their upcoming event, The DA.I.S.Y. Experience.

Taking place at New York City’s Webster Hall on March 2, the immersive activation is created alongside Amazon Music and will honor the life and legacy of David Jolicoeur, better known as Trugoy the Dove, as well as pay tribute to the influence and impact of De La Soul. In a press release, The DA.I.S.Y. Experience — named after the trio’s debut album 3 Feet High and Rising cut and standing for “Da Inner Sound Y’all” — is set to transform Webster Hall into “the ultimate celebration of De La Soul,” with artwork from 3 Feet High and Rising placed all over the venue. In addition, the event will coincide with the group’s catalog finally being available on streaming services for the first time in history.

Trugoy the Dove died in mid-February from causes yet to be confirmed by the group. “You were the heart of our group. You brought so much creativity, energy, and passion to our music, and your influence will be felt for years to come. Your passing is a great loss not only to us, but also to the entire hip-hop community. You were a true artist who used music to inspire and uplift others, and you will be deeply missed by all who knew you,” Posdnuous wrote on Instagram, with Maseo adding, “‘We Are De La Soul’ for life and after life, but obviously, it will never be the same.”

De La Soul’s The DA.I.S.Y. Experience takes place on March 2 at Webster Hall in New York City and fans can RSVP to the free event via the official website.

Elsewhere in music, Kid Cudi is hinting at a new album this fall.
