JINS Debuts New Luxury Eyewear Line "JINS SABAE"
Made entirely in Japan.
JINS is readying its new “JINS SABAE” line — a new bespoke collection of luxury frames crafted by eyewear artisans in Japan.
The name of the collection derives from Sabae, a historic city located in Japan’s Fukui Prefecture — also where the frames are crafted. Sabae is a place with a rich history in eyewear manufacturing and is especially known for pioneering the production of high-quality titanium frames. As a result, every piece from the collection has been made with utmost care and quality by skilled craftsmen who have dedicated years to their craft.
To highlight the exquisite quality of the frames, the latest lookbook has been shot by Jack Bool, whose previous works include Stussy’s Pre-Spring 2023 lookbook and the Adidas Noah campaign. In the lookbook for “JINS SABAE,” the photographer took key styles from the collection to various locations in LA, where the frames are then paired with an eclectic mix of everyday objects and creatures.
To start, the collection features a handful of elevated frames reminiscent of JINS’ classic silhouettes, with more styles to be added in the future. Covering all bases, the collection encompasses a range of colorways, going from the failsafe black, classic brown tortoise, to the most expressive moss green and rose gold.
