A. Lange & Söhne’s Zeitwerk Minute Repeater Arrives in Honeygold
Crafted from the Maison’s exclusive proprietary alloy, HONEYGOLD®.
A. Lange & Söhne has unveiled its latest iteration of the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater with the name of Honeygold. Releasing as a 30-piece limited edition, the timepiece stars a gray dial framed inside a honey-gold-hued case, crafted from Lange’s own proprietary alloy, HONEYGOLD®.
Touted as the only mechanical wristwatch that merges a jumping numerals display with a decimal minute repeater, the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater model is known for its technical and sophisticated complication. Described by its makers as a “time-measuring instrument with inimitable sound,” the new reference comes with its own unique acoustics and sonority thanks to its HONEYGOLD® build, which is precisely what sets it apart both visually and sonically from its predecessors.
Anthony de Haas, A. Lange & Söhne’s Director of Product Development explains that, “Every minute repeater has its own, one-of-a-kind sound. Apart from the gongs and gong hammers, the case material has the greatest impact on the sound. Similar to a musical instrument, different tone colors and sound impressions are created, depending on the material used. That is also the case with our novelty in honey gold. It sounds different to all other materials ‒ truly distinctive.”
Synonymous with all Zeitwerk models, the newly iterated time-teller is powered by the L043.5 Manufacture caliber. Equipped to run for up to 36 hours continuously when fully wound, the intricate movement can be observed without obstruction via the exhibition caseback. Each example is paired with a dark brown leather strap, which comes with an 18-carat HONEYGOLD® and white gold buckle that echoes the color and build of its 44.2mm watch case.
The Zeitwerk Minute Repeater Honeygold is currently available for inquiry via select A. Lange & Söhne boutiques. For those who are interested, head over to the Maison’s official website for more details.
