Green Day Announces ‘Saviors’ LP, Shares New Track “The American Dream Is Killing Me”
The band’s 14th studio LP is out on January 19.
Green Day is coming out with the follow up to 2020’s Father of All… The California rock band has announced its 14th studio album, Saviors.
For the project, Green Day reunited with their longtime producer Rob Cavallo, who also produced Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, American Idiot and more for the band in the past.
Green Day also officially released the lead single from Saviors, entitled “The American Dream Is Killing Me.” They had initially previewed the track during a live show in Las Vegas and later played it at When We Were Young festival.
“Saviors is an invitation into Green Day’s brain, their collective spirit as a band, and an understanding of friendship, culture and legacy of the last 30 plus years,” the band said in its announcement.
“It’s raw and emotional. Funny and disturbing. It’s a laugh at the pain, weep in the happiness kind of record.”
During that same When We Were Young set, Green Day also played an unreleased song called “Look Ma, No Brains!” Fans can look forward to streaming that one in the near future.
