Following the reveal of the “Turtledove” colorway accented with hints of mint green, New Balance gears up for the year ahead with the release of several in-line colorways of its popular 550 model. In addition, the Boston-based imprint now primes the silhouette in a sport-ready “Team Royal” palette.

The simplistic pair begins with a cream-colored leather upper featuring asymmetrical mudguards and perforations at the sides for increased ventilation. The tone continues into the rear panels, which receive black “NB” branding.

In contrast, classic New Balance logos hit the medials in blue, while “550” numerics hit the forefeet and suede trimmings sit atop black leather at the ankles. Basketball-inspired graphics are embroidered into the tongues, and the design is rounded out with white midsoles and two-toned bottoms.

Take a closer look at the New Balance 550 “Team Royal” in the gallery above. The pair is expected to drop via New Balance and select retailers worldwide later this year for $120 USD.
