New Balance Brings the "Sea Salt" Treatment to the 550
Following silhouettes such as the new 90/60.

While lately New Balance has unveiled several bold colorways such as “Marigold,” “Chrysanthemum,” and “White Scarlet,” it continues to balance this with simple, tasteful color palettes such as 2022’s hit “Sea Salt” look. Previously landing on models such as the 990v2, MADE in USA 990v3 and 90/60, “Sea Salt” makes a return, this time on the women’s 550.
The New Balance 550 in “Sea Salt” begins with a premium pig suede hitting the toe box while a soft leather spans throughout the remainder of the upper. Standard to “Sea Salt” colorways, various shades of off-white and white cover the mixed materials and detailing. Even the branding elements opt for a subtle look as the “N” logo on the lateral and medial, “NB” logo on the heel and various callouts to the 550 complement the look in white and silver. The sole unit completes this old-school silhouette with New Balance branding on the white midsole which rests atop a yellowed off-white rubber outsole.
Look for the New Balance 550 “Sea Salt” to hit shelves in women’s sizing August 16 at 10am EDT via New Balance and select retailers.
In other footwear news, GORE-TEX was added to the New Balance 2002R alongside an aged sole.
