9th Wonder's Nike KD 15 "Charles Doutit" Is Revealed
A nod to the producer’s ‘Zion V: The Ballad Of Charles Douthit’ from 2020.
Kevin Durant considers himself an authentic lover of music, and one way that he’s expressed his affection for this has been through creating special music-inspired Nike colorways. This trend is set to continue on his fifteenth signature shoe, this time in the form of a collection of iterations that shout out some of his favorite hip hop producers. And the latest to be unveiled is this Nike KD 15 “Charles Doutit” variation which pays homage to Patrick Denard Douthit, also known as 9th Wonder.
The hardwood-ready kicks are inspired by Douthit’s Zion V: The Ballad Of Charles Douthit album that was released in 2020. The most overt call out to the record-making producer can be found through the tongue branding which alternates between KD logos and 9th Wonder insignias. Interior liners also arrive mismatched, the right shoe being dripped in purple while the other side is touched up in orange, and both have “Charles Doutit” embroidered onto the interior sides of the tongues. Other elements to call out include purple toe tip overlays and icy treading.
Be on the lookout for Nike to launch these in the coming weeks, and in case you missed it, renditions for Boi-1da and Cardo have also been revealed.
