Kevin Durant Taps Music Producers for His Next KD 15 Collabs
Boi-1da and Cardo lend their touch to Slim Reaper’s latest signature.

Outside of basketball, music is one area of life that Kevin Durant holds near and dear to his heart, especially when it comes to hip-hop. One way that the two-time champion has expressed this love is through his footwear as we’ve seen him release the KD 13 “Chill & Hype” as well as the KD 13 “Funk” colorways. And now that’s dropped his KD 15 signature, he’s expanding upon this affinity by letting hit-making producers Boi-1da and Cardo cook up their own variations of the shoes.
Both producers are well-respected in the hip hop scene as their list of artists that they’ve made music for includes chart-topping folks like Drake, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z and Mary J. Blige. Boi-1da’s offering is primarily fitted with a darker palette but gets its spirit from its collection neon accents. The Jamaican-Canadian record producer sprinkles in volt, pink and orange accents throughout the upper, and his signature makes its way onto the right shoe’s tongue.
Cardo’s hardwood-ready iteration is outfitted with lighter gray uppers and comes complemented by minty cages and pastel orange Swooshes. Midsoles are sprayed with a bright blue tone for extra vibrance, and his signature also lands on the right side’s tongue.
No release info has been announced just yet, but it’s likely that these will drop in the coming months.
In other news, a Nike Terminator High “Cocoa Snake” colorway has been revealed.
