New Balance Readies the 2002R in an Effortless “Natural Indigo” Palette
Closing out the summer with a polished edition of the house model.
As New Balance continues to push its 2002R silhouette to unimaginable heights, the Boston-based footwear giant is preparing a slew of clean colorways to keep an eye on. The lifestyle sneaker has recently been at the forefront of various creative collaborations, from Bryant Giles’ artistic take to AURALEE’s “Yellow Beige” delivery.
Now, New Balance is taking an effortless approach, dressing the house model in a simplistic palette of “Natural Indigo” and white. Crisp white leather overlays hit the mudguards, quarters, lacing systems, tongues and heels, while the latter features a punctured design for increased ventilation. The titular navy-like hue adds a lively touch, distributed through the toe box and collar trimmings, upper eyelets and medial N borders. Branding is kept to a minimum as the model number is stamped on the outer collars, “NB” emblems adorn the rears, and further branding is set on the tongues.
Finally, N-ERGY cushioning fills the cream-colored midsoles for a comfortable journey while on the go.
