Sneakers76 Moves Further Off the Coast With Cheradi Islands-Inspired Le Coq Sportif R800
Six years after the release of the R1000 “The Guardian of the Sea.”
Taranto’s Sneakers76 — helmed by Daniele Valente — has revisited its collaborative efforts with Le Coq Sportif. Having been six years since its last release dedicated to the “The Guardian of the Sea” with the R1000, this collaboration of the R800 “The Islands” moves further off the mainland and into the Cheradi Islands — a small archipelago in front of the city of Taranto.
Referencing two islands, San Paolo and San Pietro, the shoe sees warm and pastel colors that make it a fit for summertime wear. Blues represent the surrounding sea while beige and pink represent the fine sand. The sneaker is finished with leather in Bordeaux as a nod to the houses fixed on the two islands. Each shoe sees co-branding and the names of each foot that represents San Paolo and San Pietro, respectively.
The packaging has also been made to look like a retro suitcase covered in airline stickers and comes with a logbook for journaling while on your travels. Those interested can head over to Sneakers76 on May 20 to purchase a pair.
