Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson is gearing up to star in a Peacock series based on his own life.

The comedy series, titled Bupkis, will feature half-hour episodes that depict a “heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life,” according to the company. The show “will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known.”

The series comes from Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video and Universal Television banner, under which the SNL standout has worked for decades. Dave Sirus and Judah Miller, both of whom previously worked with Davidson on The King of Staten Island, will join the project as writers alongside the star. The trio will executive produce the series with Michaels, Broadway Video’s Andrew Singer and Erin David.

“Pete Davidson is one of the most sought-after comedians today with his smart, one-of-a-kind humor and honest point of view,” said Susan Rovner, chairman of entertainment content at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, in a statement. “Bupkis will showcase Pete’s funny, surprising and unfiltered brand of comedy audiences have come to love as we continue to bolster our Peacock comedy slate. We can’t wait to dive in with Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video and our partners at Universal Television.”

Bupkis marks Davidson’s latest stint for NBCUniversal, following his starring role on the last eight seasons of the network’s Saturday Night Live and playing host for the streamer’s New Year’s Eve party with Miley Cyrus.

Stay tuned for more information on Bupkis.
