Official Look at the Nike Air Max 1 "Blueprint" That's Dropping on Air Max Day
Grid patterns dress up the Swooshes and tongues to speak to its architectural motif.
Perhaps due to the fact that bigger activations have only really started to return in the last year, Nike hasn’t put forth much energy into giving its annual Air Max Day holiday the attention that it deserves. However, the releases for 2022 celebrations have still stirred up a generous amount of excitement amongst the sneaker community, and one that will be making its way to the public is the Air Max 1 “Blueprint” that has just been unveiled via official imagery.
The shoes’ nickname speaks for itself and all of the architectural design elements that are incorporated into the uppers. Standing out on the tongues and the Swooshes are gridded patterns, the latter of which splits between cleaner white and black graphics on the medial side while the lateral panel ushers in a faded and grainy blue layer on top. The majority of the base layer comes fashioned with white toe boxes, mid-foot sections and collars, and the overlays are dripped in a sky blue hue. Heels come debossed with a tonal globe insignia while the insoles are decorated with blueprint-inspired images of the Air Max 1 silhouette, the state of Oregon to shout out Nike’s World Headquarters and more.
Look for these to drop as a regional exclusive throughout North America on March 26.
