Indian Celebrates Its American Flat Track Victory With a Special-Edition FTR
Only 400 will be made.
In celebration of its recent wins during the American Flat Track championships, Indian Motorcycle has now created a limited-edition FTR for the racing fans.
Aptly dubbed the FTR Championship Edition, the new bike is inspired by the FTR750 and sports a sleek black body heavily accented with red components and livery to bring out a classic racing aesthetic. On the fuel tank is a commemorative Indian Motorcycle Racing bezel detailing each year the company has won the American Flat Track championship, from 2017 all the way through to 2021.
Of course, as a limited edition, Indian has given the model more than just a special livery. The automaker has equipped the FTR with a series of premium parts, including its ProTaper flat tracker aluminum handlebars, a seat cowl, front fender, airbox covers and headlight nacelle all made with carbon fiber, adjustable front forks and piggyback shock, a titanium Akrapovič exhaust, and a 4.3-inch touchscreen display. Powering the bike itself is a 1,203cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine pushing out 120 horsepower and 87 pound-feet of torque, all transferred to the 19-inch and 18-inch front and rear wheels paired with Brembo brakes and Dunlop Street tires.
Limited to just 400 made, the Indian FTR Championship Edition will go for $16,500 USD. You can learn more over on the company’s website.
