Jil Sander Has Dropped a Pair of Seamless Hand-Folded Shoes
Minimalist yet eye-catching in equal measure.
Following the unveiling of its minimalist Fall/Winter 2022 runway collection towards the end of last month, Lucie and Luke Meier’s striking Mid-Cut Shoes for Jil Sander have now officially launched.
The fashion house — which explored the urban and natural spaces of Paris for its Spring/Summer 2022 campaign — has remained firmly on-brand with its new boot-like silhouette by keeping things inherently minimalist yet eye-catching in equal measure.
A double hand-folded leather upper with gaps at the rear is accompanied by a buckle and velcro strap closure, with a round toe finish and hand-milled midsole bringing things together seamlessly. Made in the heart of Italy, each Mid-Cut Shoe is rounded out with hand-sewn Opanka construction and a Jil Sander logo on the insole.
The Jil Sander Mid-Cut Shoe is available to buy now from the house’s online webstore, retailing at £630 (approximately $850 USD).
In other footwear news, Dr. Martens has equipped its 1460 and 1461 with techy features.
