ASICS' GEL-1130 Arrives In Muted Blue and Gray Colorway
Yours for just $95 USD.

ASICS first dropped its archive-honoring GEL-1130 back in August 2021, and since it has appeared in various retro-informed colorways from white and gold to pairs that sported archival touches, and now it has arrived in muted gray and blue hues.
The GEL-1130 draws from the Japanese sportswear giant’s GEL-1000 series and silhouettes such as the GEL-KAYANO 14, all while nodding to the early 2000s and ASCIS’ running archive. As a result, we find a lightweight mesh upper overlayed with suede, here taking on gray and blue hues respectively, before the signature style of striped branding on the mid-panels shows up in light gray with a soft yellow thread running through it to offer definition.
ASICS’ GEL-1130 also features various asymmetrical elements, with a stripe cutting across the tongue and the rear incorporating a retro-futuristic branding panel that gives the heels a skewed look. Branding is abundant, gracing the tongue, vamp, and insoles, while keeping things subtle are the gray laces and the sole unit.
Here, ASICS opts for a palette comprising muted cream and gray tones, which elegantly shows the curvaceous midsole and all of its sections alongside a cream-colored visible GEL heel unit. Take a look at ASICS’ latest GEL-1130 above, and pick up a pair from atmos Tokyo now for ¥11,000 JPY (approximately $95 USD).
On the other end of the spectrum, the first Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 by Virgil Abloh has sold for over $350,000 USD.
