Dr. Martens has unveiled a new collaboration with FUTURA LABORATORIES, celebrating the artist and designer’s signature style across the 1460 boot. Featuring two versions of the silhouette, the capsule pays tribute to his decades-long career, as well as the importance of graffiti and versatility to his art.

Dubbed the 1460 EMB FUTURA, the first design is a nod to Futura’s graffiti roots. With a black Nappa leather upper, the shoe is embroidered with artwork inspired by Futura’s work, before the design is finished with black eyelets and welt — to contrast the bold white embroidery — as well as a black and yellow heel-loop, dual-branded sock liner and smoke sole.

The second style in the pack takes a different approach. For the 1460 FUTURA boot, Dr. Martens has looked towards its Tract collection with an olive woven fabric upper, smooth leather ankle strap and printed leather laces. Detailing inludes tonal “FUTURA LABORATORIES” branding across the ankle strap, as well as a co-branded footbed.

The FUTURA LABORATORIES X Dr. Martens 1460 collection is due to release on February 26, and will be available from the Dr. Martens web store and select stockists.
