The Nike x sacai x Jean Paul Gaultier LDVaporwaffle Is Set for Another Release
Coming to DSML in both colorways.
We’ve all seen the Nike x sacai x Jean Paul Gaultier LDVaporwaffle, but few of us got to see the pair in hand let alone cop a pair to wear on our feet. Now, the coveted three-way collaboration is set to release again, giving sneakerheads another chance to cop the silhouette in both the “Black/White” and “Blue/Seasame” colorways.
Taking what Chitose Abe‘s sacai and Nike have perfected with its collaborative LDVaporwaffle, Jean Paul Gaultier comes in and adds plenty of new touches. The most unavoidable is the shape, which is now cut like a sneaker-bootie and appears with Air Woven-like details all over, stitching the nylon, leather, and suede upper components together with leather threads.
Normal laces combine with ribbon laces and echo the doubled-up aesthetic sacai x Nike has become known for, resulting in two tongues with two sets of branding, the quintessential stacked sole, and dual-branding on the heel. Jean Paul Gaultier branding hits up the interior, but you don’t need much branding to know that this iteration is the special one.
