A pair of one-of-one special ordered Chrome Hearts x Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC” have surfaced.
Prior to the death of prolific designer Virgil Abloh, his streetwear brand Off-White™ and Chrome Hearts often collaborated on collections. One of the most iconic pieces was an orange Chrome Hearts x Off-White™ hoodie unveiled in 2018. The sweater is still considered one of the most highly sought after pieces amongst street style fans. A year later Abloh teamed up with Laurie Lynn, Richard and Jesse Jo Stark of Chrome Hearts to create a conceptual space to showcase his first Louis Vuitton collection. The space displayed both Abloh and LV’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection alongside exclusive Off-White™ x Chrome Hearts products. 2018 was also the year Abloh unveiled his take on the classic Jordan Brand silhouette in the recognizable University of North Carolina colors.
Now, all three brands have come together for an exclusive Justin Reed release of Chrome Hearts x Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC,” a strong symbol of Abloh’s ability to combine street and high fashion. The shoe has the same design cues as the original Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC” minus the neon orange tag. The Chrome Hearts edition sees the shoe sport metal eyelets in the brand’s steel-plate aesthetic. The Chrome Hearts metal label is also featured on the dubrae, aglet and on the heel of the shoe. Different from a traditional shoelace, the shoe includes a Chrome Hearts-branded adjustable on the lace.
