Virgil Abloh Announces Louis Vuitton SS19 Residency at Chrome Hearts NYC
Unveiling a conceptual bench made in partnership with Richard Stark.
Virgil Abloh teamed up with Laurie Lynn, Richard and Jesse Jo Stark of Chrome Hearts to create a conceptual space to showcase his first Louis Vuitton collection. Located at NYC’s West Village, the “warehouse-esque” presentation at the Chrome Hearts flagship will display Abloh and LV’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection alongside exclusive Off-White™ x Chrome Hearts products. Diverse items will be purveyed across a showroom, living area, cafe, retail and gallery space located on the 2nd floor of the establishment.
The highlight of the space is an ebony bench that took Abloh and Richard Stark five years to make. “The uniqueness of the piece – at first glance, fragile and ‘snapped in half’ while ultimately being built out of the strongest ebony wood – was brought to life by hand at the Chrome Hearts factory in Los Angeles,” said Chrome Hearts in a statement.
