Chinese streetwear brand, SANKUANZ unveiled its latest PUMA collaboration during its Spring/Summer 2019 Paris Fashion show. Opting for an eye-catching color scheme, the co-branded sneakers become the highlight of the show.
The classic PUMA sneakers receive a SANKUANZ makeover; each model is adorned with a rubber SANKUANZ x PUMA tag at the top eyelet. Original leather lace stays of the Cell Endura are replaced by a neon green, whereas the insole is coated with a retro purple. The look finishes with a glowing SANKUANZ branding contrasting with the black bubble unit.
A melange of suede, leather and rubber dominates the reworked PUMA Cali while the SANKUANZ insignia takes the place of PUMA’s cougar logo on the tongue tag. Rounding off the pair, an ivory-grey sole unit is extended and enlarged to create a dad shoe-esque silhouette.
The PUMA RS-X takes on a more subtle colorway in this crossover edition. Neon green heels and toebox overlays, as well as the dark purple shoe collar, embellish the non-color-saturated upper.
The collection will also include apparel such as a classic PUMA tracksuit with hits of SANKUANZ motifs on the side tapes. Dark-colored joggers are embellished with the signature PUMA logo and enlarged typography while the design of T-shirts are influenced by PUMA football gear from the ’90s.
The Sankuanz x PUMA collaboration will drop at puma.com and at select retailers on February 2. In the meantime, check out Feng Chen Wang’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection from London Fashion Week Men’s.
