First Trailer for Jordan Peele's Sci-Fi Comedy ‘Weird City’ Arrives
Starring Steven Yeun, Gillian Jacobs, Awkwafina, Laverne Cox, Rosario Dawson, and Michael Cera.
Jordan Peele continues on his current headline dominating spree, this time sharing the first trailer for his forthcoming Weird City series.
Set to be a web-only show, this sci-fi comedy will take a look into the not-too-distant future metropolis, Weird, and center around two groups of people, the Above the Line (The Haves) and Below the Line (The Have Nots), who are ruled by Dr. Negari. As for the middle class, they have disappeared entirely. Weird City will begin airing on YouTube Originals with each episode focusing on topics relevant to today’s political landscape. The show was written by Peele alongside Charlie Sanders.
Weird City premieres on YouTube Premium February 13 and stars LeVar Burton, Steven Yeun, Gillian Jacobs, Awkwafina, Laverne Cox, Rosario Dawson and Michael Cera.
