Anthony Mackie Stars in Netflix's Latest Sci-Fi, ‘IO’
The latest post-apocalyptic sci-fi flick from Netflix.
With 2019 only being a few days old, Netflix is already amping fans up with its original content arsenal including the forthcoming sci-fi flick, IO.
Starring Avengers‘ Anthony Mackie as Micah, the post-apocalyptic film will see his character, and what’s left of mankind, trying to survive a now desolate and poisoned Earth. Most of Earth’s surviving members have headed to Jupiter’s moon, IO, while one scientist named Sam (Margaret Qualley of Death Note) stays behind to find ways to survive on the planet. As the two find each other, they decide to make the perilous journey to IO. Check out the first trailer for IO above and look for the film to hit Netflix on January 18.
