adidas Football Celebrates 70th Anniversary With Copa70 Silhouette
Based on the first ever Copa boot.
adidas Football is set to mark the 70th anniversary of the brand with the release of a special-edition football boot and sneaker silhouette. Titled the Copa70, the silhouette is based on the first ever Copa design, which released back in 1982. The classic silhouette has been updated through the use of modern adidas technologies, including a PrimeKnit upper.
As well as a PrimeKnit upper, the boot also features a leather lining and blue branding on the tongue. Both the sneaker and the boot feature red detailing on the sole — in the form the boot’s studs and an island on the sneaker’s outsole — in reference to the 1970s. Both the sneaker and the boot are available from the adidas web store now.
