Continuing Masayuki Ino’s focus on sustainability, doublet releases a series of upcycled items made using suits from Japanese retailer Yofuku-no-Aoyama.

First unveiled in doublet’s Spring/Summer 2022 “My Way” collection, the upcycled apparel was originally Yofuku-no-Aoyama suits that had been carried over for the season due to the decline in demand caused by the pandemic.

Apart from reworked oversized jackets, vests, shirts, and trousers with patchwork details, the latest lineup includes a series of new collaborative T-shirts. The T-shirts’ designs see doublet’s playful imagination of the Yofuku-no-Aoyama store with rock culture-themed elements, with one drawing inspiration from the Beatle’s iconic crosswalk photo. A total of four types of T-shirts will be available, two of which will be sold exclusively at “WISM” stores and “ReVoLuTioN.”

Priced at ¥16,500 JPY (approximately $140 USD) for each collaborative T-shirt, ¥99,000 JPY (approximately $850 USD) for the upcycled oversized shirt, ¥165,000 JPY (approximately $1,420 USD) for the upcycled oversized vest, ¥198,000 JPY (approximately $1,700 USD) for the upcycled oversized pants, and ¥297,000 JPY (approximately $2,560 USD) for the upcycled oversized jacket — the doublet x Yofuku-no-Aoyama collaborative pieces from the Spring/Summer 2022 “My Way” collection will be available at authorized “doublet” stores from Friday, February 11. In addition, “WISM Shibuya,” “WISM Shinjuku,” “WISM Horie,” and “ReVoLuTioN” will have in-store decorations to commemorate the collaboration from the same day until February 25.
