Sifu will finally be debuting its long-awaited Arenas mode in March. French developer Sloclap revealed the news to IGN, sharing that the mode will arrive as part of a free update coming to the game.

“Successfully completing the arenas will progressively unlock a massive new modifiers batch, which doubles the current game’s amount and notably brings alternative moves to the Kung Fu palette of our main character,” Sloclap told IGN. “Completing the new Arenas challenges will also unlock new cheats and exclusive new outfits.”

Players have been eagerly awaiting the mode since it was first teased in April in a content roadmap. The mode was initially supposed to launch in winter 2022 but its release was ultimately delayed.

Since debuting in February of this year, the martial arts brawler has garnered over 1 million players worldwide across Windows, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and later, on the Nintendo Switch. The Arenas mode will roll out in tandem with the title’s release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
