Gucci Celebrates Lunar New Year With a "Year of the Rabbit" Collection
The Italian luxury label crafts festive ready-to-wear garments, bags, shoes, accessories, jewelry and timepieces.
Chinese New Year celebrations are set to commence in less than a month, and various brands across fashion and footwear are starting to unveil their collections dedicated to the annual holiday. We’ve seen Jordan Brand and Nike reveal several kicks, and now luxury label Gucci is getting in on the action by pulling back the curtain on its “Year of the Rabbit” collection.
For this initiative, the Italian fashion imprint has readied pieces for men and women that include flashy and festive ready-to-wear garments, bags, shoes, accessories, jewelry and timepieces. Playful and elegant variations of a rabbit — which represents intelligence, health, and longevity — and pronounced on the various products. Standout items from the men’s side include tracksuits and vests that are each plastered with hand-drawn rabbit graphics, a cardigan that’s cowled in tile-like patterns that features golden buttons, trench coats that feature bold yellow and black block patterns and the short-sleeved camp collar shirt that is styled with all-over floral print.
There are several striking items that Gucci has prepared for the ladies. This includes multi-colored woven knit sweaters with bunny imagery, silk blouses and skirts that are printed with geometric shapes as well as spray-painted rabbits that are tossed onto tees, leather loafers and G-Timeless watches.
