Vandy the Pink Unveils a New "East to West" Bonsai Varsity Jacket
Squirrels and bonsai tree graphics appear on the cozy outerwear piece.
Vandy the Pink took his imprint to new heights in 2022 as he executed a barrage of captivating collaborations such as a dessert pop-up with Milk & Cream, clothing capsule with ICECREAM and skeletal Wallabees with Clarks Originals. And while there are still a few days left to go in the year, the Virginia-based designer already has his eyes set on new projects for 2023, one being this Vandy the Pink “East to West” Bonsai Varsity Jacket.
Like many of the pieces that Vandy the Pink pushes out, the graphics on this cozy outwear piece is what give it life. Wool front and back panels are dyed in a fall-appropriate orange hue and arrive accented by brown and white stripes on the collars, cuffs and bottoms. Squirrel icons are affixed to the chest while the designer’s moniker is embroidered in a slanted fashion just beneath the front pockets. Leather sleeves are given a creamy complexion and feature “1989” patches on the right side and “East to West” decor on the left. The back is formed with an oversized “Vandy’s” spell-out along with a blown-up bonsai tree that is meant to represent harmony, balance and patience.
