Detailed Look of Union's Nike Dunk Low "Purple/Gold" Collaboration
A Lakers-friendly palette lands on the streetwear boutique’s flight-inspired collab.

After having such an impressive year of collaborations in honor of its 30th anniversary in 2021, Union LA is even more ready to take the world by storm in 2022 with more compelling partnerships. On the footwear front, the notable streetwear boutique is confirmed to be linking up with Nike and Jordan Brand for several offerings, one being this Union x Nike Dunk Low “Purple/Gold” colorway.
Thematically, these forthcoming kicks appear to tap into the world of flight, that’s exhibited through the various materials and embellishments that are found throughout the upper. Ridding of the traditional leather fabrics that are used on this model, Union wraps the entire base with synthetic grid patterns, the overlays of which are supplied with white finishes while the toe boxes, quarters and collars are dialed to a darker purple. Vivid yellow hits are present across the exposed stitchings that outline the upper panels, Swooshes and heel branding, and radiate somewhat of a Lakers-friendly aesthetic. Branding from the LA-based retailers is found via yellow “UN/LA” tabs which are attached to the quarters and its signature Frontman logo that is fastened to the lateral heels.
You can expect this makeup to release alongside “Blue” and “Midnight Navy” makeups likely within the coming months.
